Our Culture - What does it mean to us? - 

Here is a basic 101 version 1.0 by Mark 

Q. What do we use to formulate our feelings and belief ?

A. We believe we must start from a emotional connection............an emotional connection from one person to another........... a emotional connection from one colleague to another..........a emotional connection to our customer............and then the circle starts.

Ownership is a key word for me, and how can we have more people take more ownership more often?

To help us bring this alive I highly recommend reading “Start with Why” by Simon Senek, Simon has a simple but powerful model for inspirational leadership all starting with a golden circle and the question "Why?"  please watch his video:

Then you will know, The Golden Circle in three levels WHY, HOW, WHAT, forms our O&O Reethi Rah DNA

We have used this golden circle concept to help us define our DNA, by looking deeper then the superficial product, we wanted to understand the WHY and know this is the key which simply put is the emotional connection, our trigger to Inspire us to serve and pamper, it in the end should inspire us to be here.

Further more we understand our HOW is our process, System our SOP's.

Finally our WHAT level ( the touch level ) is divided into four key areas of the resort operationally that touch the our guest and people;
1.       Food & Beverage
2.       Spa & Fitness
3.       Sports & Recreation ( kids only, Marine as well)
4.       Villas ( entire operations )

Now, to help us bring this alive in action, we have adopted The FISH Philosophy, Play, Make their Day, Be There, and Choose your attitude  & its used to help us make it more simple for our managers to use as a reference and guide.

Remember its a Journey, and I am realistic, I am simply not saying these 3 elements has fixed our Culture, more importantly we are developing a culture, it takes time, we are on the way forward, I am looking for more recruits to be INSPIRED to help us on this journey.
