I believe we all have artistry in ourselves, we are all Artists in some way.
It may be in the way you draft a letter, comb your hair, style your desk or even kick a football, I believe we all hold a form of brilliance in our selves that we must strive to bring alive.

In terms of striving for perfection, do we ever hit perfection?

The world today is not like it was 10 years ago or 30 years ago, today's digital world is developing every day, we must put ourselves into a place where we know things will not be the same. What is perceived as the latest and greatest today is tomorrows old version.

I think there is more to hitting perfection, and there more to hitting and achieving excellence !

I believe its all about the artistry of you, your passion and your attention to details, but most of all its constant, its about being CONNECTED !

Be there, be the one leaning forward, be the one to try something new,  be the one or the team creating experiences that no one has ever done before.

What does "Leaning forward" mean ?

Put your self in the shoes of who you are serving, by serving I mean the people you are connecting with, be it guests, family and fellow colleagues, what if you were lost in a big city searching for direction would you like some one to reach out for you? I am sure the answer is yes !

Well that's what I am talking about being Connected every moment you can, this will ensure you can be the best version of you and ensure you will have the best chance to show your Artistry.

I am sure you may have herd of this before?


But in our hospitality world its critical to our business, but in my eyes its actually how life is moving forward, people 'think" they are so connected socially with twitter, Facebook and Instagram etc...., but whilst this is an important place to be is really not what I am talking about.

I am talking about 360 degrees connection, being there fully 100% of the time, leaning forward, listening and anticipating and being positive.

That's why when we are in tune with our environment and people,  its easier to make a call, make the decision, don't worry about it being 100% correct, make it and make it often enough and you will be a winner !
What did I say?
Yes, don't be afraid make a decision from the best of your knowledge on what ever subject, be there to manage it, be true, be focused and yes don't worry about it being 100% perfect, you will be a winner !
