First off, I do not normally write about politics...ever. That is because I myself am not passionate about either party. I grew up democrat and later began to lean more republican but still would vote for a democrat if it was in the best interest of the nation.
Disclaimer out of the way...McCain's choice of a running mate actually got me a bit fired up. Why would he choose an inexperienced 44-year old woman? Is he crazy? Especially, when
Obama chose an extremely experienced Joe
Biden.
My initial instinct is that he just lost the election. That was until I started reading the responses from
Obama's camp. One representative commented on how dumb it was to put such an inexperienced person that close to the presidency of a country. Then it hit me.
Obama is not
overly experienced himself.
Palin ran and won Governor of a state, only one person gets elected as Governor.
Obama is a Senator, one of two per state. Neither have any true experience as it comes to running a nation.
Obama's experience is seven years in the state senate and two as a U.S. Senator.
Palin was
a PTA mom and then the mayor of a small town. Obama has the advantage in foreign policy as he sits on several foreign
policy committees but is that enough to actually run a nation?
Would you rather have an inexperienced VP or President?
