This is the second time I have posted this plan on this blog. The first time was in response to a question and this time it is my plan of attack!
Here is a perfect and easy way to build lean muscle while doing one of the oldest exercises!
1.) To maximize your numbers do as many push ups as you can on day one. (ex. 40 total)
2.) Day two do half that number in the morning (ex. 20 push ups). That same night do the exact same number. The key is to do them with perfect technique and without breaking the push ups stance.
3.) Day three add one more push up to day two's morning and night set (ex. 21 morning and night) .
4.) Continue doing this every single day.
5.) Each week you must add 10 to your morning and nightly sets (ex. up to 30 each set). That means that on some days you will add more than one at a time. Don't rush it though, only add 10 a week!
This requires less than 5 minutes a day and in a month's time you will have added 40 to your totals! You could be doing 520 push ups in a year! All with slow improvements and a lot of discipline.
I did this back in high school and started with 30 and climbed to 200+. My friend Chris continued on and peaked at 1,000! He and I decided to give it another go and just started over, ten years later. I am currently on 31...and am going for 300.
Does anybody have any other simple workout plans that provide results?
* Make sure your physician approves before starting a new exercise regiment. **If it is too difficult only do one set a day.

the plan seems well designed, only one thing I didn't quite get: do you ever repeat day one, the all-out effort? or is this really just on the first day (of the whole plan) you do that? and do you ever take a break?
thanks for you answer
The answer is no to both questions. I do not max out again but that would make for variation if it helps to motivate you. Finding your motivation is key to anything you do especially fitness.
I do not have a scheduled break day. The small amount of exertion you expell is not going to take long for the body to repair. That is why you only start with 50% of your max and slowly build it. I have never felt a need to even when I hit the 200 mark.
Thank you for the compliment and best of luck.
may I ask you a question? you wrote this plan down on the 11th of october, stating that you are currently doing 31 pushups atm. so how many are you doing at the moment? are you already up by 30 reps?
greetings
Yes. I am up to 72 as of this morning. I should be higher I know, but I was sick and I never exercise while I am sick. No worries though.
Have you started the plan? Where are you at with it?
